The pool is now ready for spring!

We just finished cleaning the Alauzon pool and improving the filtration system. It's a big job because we have to remove all the filtration gravel and replace it with clean gravel. The plants will arrive next week.

We began renovating the Alauzon pool in 2017 when we converted it from a chlorine pool to a natural swiming pool. In natural pools, it's the gravel, plants, and microorganisms that live around the plant roots that filter the water and eat harmful bacteria.

There are benefits to using plants instead of chlorine to clean the water: it encourages dragonflies to fly around the pool, birds and bats can drink the water, those allergic to chlorine can swim, and finally, we think you'll have a better experience in the water. It's more like swimming in a river or mountain lake than a municipal pool!

You can enjoy the swimming pool from mid-May to mid-September. In summer, the gites are available for weekly bookings from Sunday to Sunday.
